A foot of fresh snow beckoned us to Sweetgrass Butte this weekend. After meeting friends at Eightmile Snow-park, we headed up the forest road and enjoyed the sights of falling snow on pines. On top of the butte, we sat and chatted under big grey snow clouds. As twilight fell, we meandered back down the valley with only snowmobile headlights to show us the way.

6 new monosuits for riders. Decided to go non-insulated after wearing a monosuit the last two seasons and learning the importance of layering to avoid sweating. Above 20 degrees I’m usually riding with a medium weight wool base layer with a fleece top that comes off within 10 minutes of getting off the trail. #skidoo #polaris #monosuit #layers #winthropwa #snowmobilerental

First time I’ve ever seen a “climax” avalanche. Not sure where it gets it’s name 🤓 but a climax avalanche is when all the snow pack slides leaving bare ground exposed.
